Why the before and after

These pictures show how the items look when they arrive at my shop. They show the condition of the item. The pictures show how complicated some items are. They show how the item looked when it left my shop.

The prices listed include pick up & delivery  Also incudes installation if necessary.

Footstool with stained and ripped covering
This stool is only a few years old and the material is already splitting. It came in with a matching armchair that was in sad shape also. The material used was totally unsuitable for that style of chair and footstool. It had too wide of a weave in the fabric and separated too easily.
The same stool

The material used is of a much closer weave and will
last a lot longer. Also the cushion has been replaced and sewn in one piece not separate like in the first picture.

Cost--$100.00

Priscilla's dining chair
This chair is one of six that my friend had me fix. The seats were stained and dirty from age. The material was a very nice one and had held up well.
This is Priscilla's Chair

This is the chair after I replaced the old covering with a needlepoint seat. The other 4 chairs had mauve velvet seats to match the piping around the 2 Captain's chair seats.

Cost-$35.00 without piping      $40.00 with piping

This is Louella's sofa before
This sofa was a leftover from the 60s and very unusual. The flowers are actually chainstitched unto the fabric. Very reminiscent of crewel style needle work. Very soiled and dated.
This is Louella's sofa after the transformation

This sectional had a half moon stool with it and I made extra back cushions for it. She also had me do her a vanity chair which is on the other photo page.
This material is very nice to work with. It is a Waverly Print.

Cost--  For the sofa--$950.00

I refer to this couch as the couch from Hades. One of the hardest jobs I have done so far.

This couch was in perfect condition when it came to me. It was black velvet. The customer fell in love with this plaid and so I recovered the couch. The only way to match the plaid was to turn the opposing pieces 180 degrees. The hardest part was in remembering if red was above purple or the other way around.

Cost--  $950.00  due to the complicated fabric.  Would usually cost  $850.00
